Only after displaying them once more did Lin Bai hand the edicts back to Old Wen and have him put them away.
The gazes of everyone present, including several family heads, followed them until the edicts vanished into Old Wen's hands. Only then did they reluctantly look away.
Although the Devil Palace had already drawn up these Thousand Province Edicts, and nominally these provinces belonged to their respective families, the edicts were not in their own hands. Even if their families sent martial artists to those provinces, they would still lack legitimacy.
