"I feel like Konoha has been incredibly peaceful lately. It seems like something is missing..."
Inside the Small Earth Building, Kakashi and Tenzo leaned against opposite sides of a window. Each held a cup of hot tea, looking as if they had entered retirement early.
Kakashi's sigh was quite apt. He felt that life had indeed been peaceful lately, with hardly any ups and downs.
"Ever since Yuhara brought a group of refugees back from the Land of Wind a month ago, there really hasn't been anything worth paying attention to in the village. The Uchiha have been behaving themselves, and there's been no progress at all in the pursuit of Lord Orochimaru..." Tenzo was also beginning to feel that the war had truly ended. Konoha had enjoyed clear skies and peace lately, with nothing happening.
"By the way, what's the situation with the Three-Tails?" After thinking it over, Tenzo finally remembered another "major event."
"We're still negotiating, but the Hokage has already decided to return the Three-Tails to Kirigakure. However, the Hokage refused Kirigakure's request to send ninja into the Land of Fire. He plans to dispatch ninja to escort the Three-Tails back to the Land of Water... It's only proper. Protecting our own intelligence while taking the opportunity to obtain theirs is standard practice." Kakashi spoke.
Konoha had just gone through Orochimaru's rebellion. If possible, the Third Hokage naturally did not want ninja from other countries setting foot in the Land of Fire... Konoha had already lost plenty of face, but the less it lost, the better.
"Where is Yuhara now?" Tenzo suddenly changed the subject.
Some underlying logic had led Tenzo to ask that question, and the same logic prompted Kakashi to answer, "Apparently, he's somewhere around Nameless Mountain. He seems to be devoting himself to training."
