Chapter Summaries

After the Great Flood receded, Chaldea prepared to investigate Earth and discovered forty-nine Singularities and seven Lostbelts threatening Humanity's Order. Waver concluded that the Singularities had to be resolved simultaneously because time was running out, while Zelretch explained what the red regions on Chaldeas represented.

• Waver and Roman discussed the flood, Chaldea's situation, and Ritsuka's full Spiritual Transfer compatibility; Waver recommended that she form a contract with Mashu.
• Forty days after Humanity Annihilation, the Great Flood receded, and Chaldea's Masters examined Earth's status on Chaldeas.

Chaldea chose the Great Han Dynasty Lostbelt as its first destination, where Liu Ji ruled a transformed empire alongside Roy and Consort Yu. As Chaldea arrived, Liu Ji sent Liu Xiu to meet them and instructed her to find a fox to sacrifice.

• Waver chose the Great Han Dynasty Lostbelt as Chaldea's first destination and planned to travel there with the other Masters.
• Liu Ji complained about ruling the empire and visited Roy and Consort Yu in the palace.

Liu Xiu then revealed that she was also the legitimate Han Emperor of Pan-Human History, leaving Waver’s justification for opposing her in doubt.

• Roman and Olga Marie confirmed that the Spiritual Transfer had brought the team safely into the Lostbelt, where they saw the Fantasy Tree.
• Gao Yangsikaiya appeared, introduced herself as a merchant imprisoned in the Lostbelt, and offered to join forces with Chaldea.

Roy learned that Liu Xiu was fighting Gao Yangsikaiya while the Chaldea group fled through a landscape transformed by Liu Xiu’s extraordinary luck. After a blue-flamed woman saved Ritsuka from a falling boulder, she revealed herself and addressed Ritsuka as Chaldea’s Master.

• Waver ordered Mashu to protect the others while Kirschtaria led them away from Liu Xiu.
• Liu Xiu attacked Gao Yangsikaiya with the Chixiao Sword, and Waver used Zhuge Liang’s power to shield the fleeing group from the flames.

Chaldea reunited with Ritsuka and Waver reported that Zelretch suspected the nation embodied Human Evil, leaving the group to investigate the threat.

• Ritsuka and Yang Guifei traveled toward Chang'an City and saw enormous walls, fields tended by immortal-art machines, and a society unlike the historical Han Dynasty.
• Ritsuka and Yang Guifei entered Chang'an and found its citizens healthy, welcoming, and apparently equal, while Yang Guifei spotted a mysterious man with Double Pupils.
• Mashu learned that Chaldea had detected Ritsuka in Chang'an, and Waver led the group into the city after investigating its unusual society.
• Ritsuka reunited with Mashu and the others, and Chaldea gathered at an inn to discuss what they had learned about the Lostbelt.

• Ritsuka and Mashu realized Yang Guifei was missing, and Waver gathered Chaldea’s Masters to investigate.
• Karna confirmed no enemy had invaded, while Ritsuka sensed Yang Guifei was near Chang'an and recalled her mention of personal business.

• Waver concluded that Roy’s goal was to bring about Human Evil and warned that Gao Yangsikaiya might be one of its manifestations.
• Olga Marie pressed Kirschtaria about the Grand Command Seal, but he said Roy had never explained its function.
• Malicious magical energy filled the sky above Chang’an City, and Waver identified the apparition as complete Human Evil, the Principle of Collection.
• Waver realized that the Lostbelt’s false utopia had turned the entire Great Han Dynasty into a ritual that awakened Human Evil.

Chaldea's group encountered Consort Yu at Weiyang Palace and learned that she was Akuta Hiyori, a spirit allied with the Supreme Pontiff. As a Crowned Heroic Spirit was summoned to counter the Beast's descent, Roy's ritual neared completion, with Tamamo no Mae approaching her ninth tail.

• Roman warned Chaldea that the Decisive Magic to Save the Spirit World would summon a Crowned Heroic Spirit when the Beast fully descended.
