Arc 21Flight from Tyrant Province

Chu Mu helped trigger the collapse of the Blood Fiend Grand Array, then escaped the Chen Family’s pursuit with treasures taken from the catastrophe. After months of recovery and years of travel toward the Outer Sea, he reached the seabed site of the relic described by Xie Yu.

  • Chu Mu helped the trapped cultivators exploit the Blood Fiend Grand Array’s accumulated blood qi, and the released Nascent Souls battled across Tyrant Province City as its arrays collapsed.

He disguised himself as one of them and encountered a woman whose cultivation art might help them destroy the force controlling the trial.

  • Chu Mu absorbed the Azure Lotus Core Flame, strengthening his Great Sun True Fire and advancing his Golden Core cultivation.

Chu Mu and Qin Zhaoxue uncovered the Relic Cave Estate’s connection to the Sand Tail Scorpion Queen and entered Soul Cleansing Mountain to face the corruption of their Scorpion Eggs. Chu Mu’s trial became a return to a modern, spiritless world, where he built a global network and prepared to destroy the growing threat of heretical ghouls.

  • Chu Mu and Qin Zhaoxue discovered that killing Sand Tail Scorpions nurtured Scorpion Eggs, and that Soul Cleansing Mountain was tied to the Heavenly Palace’s effort to suppress the Sand Tail Scorpion Queen.

Arc 24The Dawn Plan

Chu Mu discovered that human spirit and will could resist and purify the Source Taint’s ghouls, then helped the Human Alliance turn that insight into the Dawn Plan. The Alliance began training and integrating transcendents while Chu Mu sealed himself away to preserve his dwindling strength.

  • Chu Mu tracked the Source Taint to Xishan County, rejected its offer of submission, and survived its attacks as the Blood Moon catastrophe spread across the world.
  • As the Human Alliance established Tian Shu Base and restored order, Chu Mu investigated the suspicious Thirty-Ninth Outpost and found Huang Peng resisting the ghouls’ influence through his human spirit.
  • Chu Mu gave Huang Peng a Blade Intent sword, and Huang Peng used it to kill the possessed soldiers at the outpost.
