• Jing Ji, Chi Zhonglin, Lu Yunhai, Yuan Chongzhen, and Zhuo Ligetu helped Ji Xinghuo carefully harvest fifteen Ability Seeds from the lizard.

Ji Xinghuo and his companions faced the East African Kingdom’s Giant Lion General Kamingda, who demanded their Ability Seeds and threatened to kill them. Just as Kamingda prepared to attack, the Great Xia Army’s Titanium Cobalt Dragon Men descended into the rift and surrounded his forces.

• Ji Xinghuo recognized Kamingda as a powerful War Marshal backed by more than a hundred elite troops and thousands of soldiers.
• Kamingda revealed that someone had paid him to kill Ji Xinghuo’s group, then demanded their Ability Seeds as compensation for killing a protected giant lizard.
• Ji Xinghuo refused to surrender the Ability Seeds and warned Kamingda that he would pay for killing seven Sharp Sword Bureau swordsmen.
• More than a dozen drop pods descended into the rift and landed around Kamingda’s forces.

The Great Xia Army arrived to protect Ji Xinghuo and his teammates, then crushed Kamingda’s forces and captured him. Liu Si Tuo brought the survivors aboard a Warhawk-class cruiser and departed the rift valley.

• Liu Si Tuo introduced himself as the commander of the Great Xia Army company sent to protect Ji Xinghuo, and Ji Xinghuo ordered him to arrest Kamingda.

• Zhou Yishang took custody of Kamingda, while Ji Xinghuo suspected the enemy had used the giant lizard video as bait and wondered how they had tracked the team.

Ji Xinghuo entered the Bloody Highlands and glimpsed the Scarlet Emperor on Crimson Flame Star before setting out to hunt Gale Wind Beasts. A flock of Ravenous Vultures pursued him and Azure Rainbow, and Ji Xinghuo began fighting them with his bow.

• Ji Xinghuo reached the Bloody Highlands and saw artificial structures and a vast throne on Crimson Flame Star, which he recognized as the Scarlet Emperor's domain.
• Ji Xinghuo rode Azure Rainbow toward a mountain to search for Gale Wind Beasts, whose hearts could serve as Expansion Oddities.

After three Blood-Eyed Biao Clan members attacked him, he killed them and discovered that Scarlet Emperor Followers provided far more Spirit Source Energy than ordinary enemies.

• Ji Xinghuo observed a Highlander tribe’s Frost Wyverns, mounts, and violent customs, then withdrew and continued west.
• After several days of avoiding Highlander hunting teams, Ji Xinghuo encountered three Blood-Eyed Biao Clan members near their territory.
