History
Xiao Potian founded the clan in an era when people lived in tribes rather than established clans. People gathered under his protection, and their descendants formed the bloodline community that became the Xiao Clan 768.
Under Xiao Xuan, the clan became one of the continent’s foremost Dou God Clans. As its Dou God Bloodline waned, he prepared an attempt to advance to Dou God, but Hun Tiandi arrived seeking the clan’s Tou She Ancient God Jade. The ensuing battle devastated the clan. Xiao Xuan failed to break through and sacrificed himself so survivors could escape through a Space Channel 207 208 537.
Expecting the clan’s resources to be seized, Xiao Xuan divided its inheritance and arranged for survivors to hide in the remote Northwest Region. By Xiao Zhan’s leadership, the Wutan City clan had lost much of its earlier knowledge and strength 209. It nevertheless expanded locally, held a coming-of-age ceremony attended by other Wutan City factions, and became the city’s leading family 13.
Xiao Yan’s rise brought renewed attention—and danger—to the clan. His defeat of Nalan Yanran prompted interest from the Misty Cloud Sect and Soul Hall, which had a mission to find the hidden Xiao Clan 200. The clan later moved from Wutan City to the Misty Cloud Sect’s mountain and joined the Flame Alliance with the sect, the Jia Ma Imperial Family, and the Snake-People Empire. Disciples remained in Wutan City to manage its businesses 230 291.
The clan also established itself in Xiao City, formerly Maple City, in the Black-Corner Region. During a war involving the Flame Alliance, Ya Fei moved vulnerable clan members and much of the alliance’s assets there 367. Later, Xiao Yan moved the Xiao Realm to the Beast Domain and announced the clan’s revival. In the Heaven Tomb, with Xiao Xuan witnessing, Xiao Zhan passed the clan leader’s decree to Xiao Yan 650 653.
Inheritance and Clan Mark
- Dou God Bloodline — The ancient clan’s bloodline had nearly dried up before Xiao Xuan’s fall. He preserved a remnant for a future descendant, and later transferred the bloodline sealed in the Heaven Tomb to Xiao Yan 209 519.
- Xiao Clan Mark — Its activation temporarily raises Dou Qi cultivation. Xiao Yan later displayed a God Grade mark; the strength of its boost varied with his cultivation level 537 574 588 614.
- Skyfire Three Mysterious Change — A secret art created by Xiao Xuan. The clan retained its First Change, while later changes were left with Burning Flame Valley 209 393.
- Furious Lion Vajra — The Wutan City family’s top cultivation method during Xiao Zhan’s leadership, ranked Middle Xuan 3.
- Clan decrees — Xiao Yan carried the Young Clan Leader’s decree before receiving the clan leader’s decree from Xiao Zhan 516 653.
