The perspective shifted back to the central building, where William waited to meet Boss.
Although he complained constantly and said he did not want to wait, he still spent over an hour waiting before finally receiving permission to meet Boss. Even so, that was considered a short wait. In fact, being able to apply for a meeting with Boss was an extremely rare opportunity.
Getting to Boss's floor was also quite troublesome. He had to change elevators several times and cross multiple stairways of surreal geometry.
After spending a full four hours, William finally arrived at the upper section of the building. The height of the floors here had already surpassed the world's limits. The area was even completely separated from the City of Evil, located in the unstable cracks between planes.
The floor covered a vast horizontal area and was made of panoramic glass. Walking along the glass corridors, one could clearly see the extremely unstable turbulence of subspace, with crimson particles of all kinds crashing against the glass.
The chaotic spatial turbulence even projected scenes from different areas of the City of Evil. It seemed that walking here allowed one to monitor the entire city.
The glass corridors formed a ring that spiraled upward, continuing for a vertical height of another thousand meters.
When William finally reached the highest floor with light footsteps, an old wooden door appeared before him, completely out of place in such a modern building. Yet the eerie aura seeping through its cracks made even William tremble involuntarily, though a smile soon suppressed it.
"Phew~ The pressure's still as great as ever..."
William paused at the door to compose himself, adjusted his tie, took a deep breath, and gently patted his shoulder, signaling Little Grape inside not to pry into anything in the area
