I'd like to discuss this book in two parts.

1. The creative journey, both the good and the bad

2. Related crossovers and future works

The basic structure of this book was fairly clear, so I won't repeat the plot summary. I'll mainly talk about the creative process.

First, the first point.

In the early stages of writing this book, I didn't intend to borrow the established Cthulhu system as I had in my previous book, nor did I plan to use an infinite-flow setting. I wanted to write a completely original soul-like work. (I was obsessed with souls-like games back then, and I still am.)

Both the Framework Health Bar, which corresponded to the unlocking process, and the Epic Music that played after completing a Path were obvious souls-like elements.

The Gentleman Organization, which appeared to maintain a state of high "purity" while helping the world remove its Root of Disease, was actually dressed in a diseased skin that came from the Source Plague Zone.

The lofty "First Gentleman" was merely a pitiful, short-lived transmission medium.

From my personal perspective,

the earlier arc, especially the story before entering the lesion, was of very high quality.

Because I hadn't prepared enough, I used up my saved chapters as soon as the book went live. From April 2023 onward, my child was repeatedly attacked by illness. She was hospitalized at least five or six times in total, and once she even fainted and convulsed directly in kindergarten. (It runs in the family.) The teachers were so frightened that even after taking her to the hospital, they couldn't recover their composure for a long time.
