Yi Chen and William's shared Memory Palace—the library
No one was seated here. The empty library was no longer as clean as before, but had been infiltrated by the Silver Sea's waters. Even ghostly aberrations drifted in the gloomy corners.
Some of the books placed on the bottom shelves had been soaked through. Stick-insect-like limbs had grown from within them and skimmed across the water, while twisted human faces even appeared on their covers.
However,
the seawater had only seeped into the library. It had yet to discover the hidden door behind the final bookshelf.
Beyond the hidden door and secret passage, at the deepest part of the Memory Palace, lay the aquarium used to bury deep memories... It had also once been the area where Yi Chen's consciousness was imprisoned. Now, however, the roles had been reversed.
William had imprisoned himself in the deepest part of the aquarium. He had even locked himself inside a treasure chest and buried it underwater, minimizing his presence as much as possible.
There was also a parasite inside the treasure chest.
Boss, do we really need to hide like this? Shouldn't we check on Mr. Yi? He leans toward physical slaughter, so he probably isn't suited to dealing with Moonlight Illusion Arts. What if something happens to him?
William, curled up inside the treasure chest, did not respond. He merely raised his index finger to his lips, signaling Nash not to speak—not even through consciousness transmission. All they had to do was wait.

Yi Chen had already ventured deep into the island for an hour, but his sense of time had long since become blurred.
What he saw included not only lush trees and overgrown weeds,
but also railway tracks slowly emerging among the
