Background / History

Yi Chen grew up in an orphanage and made several attempts to escape. During one childhood escape, his roommate Xiao Yan insisted on accompanying him; both were captured and subjected to the orphanage's Watchdog transformation surgery. Yi Chen later learned that his father had a criminal past and had been executed, while his own orphanage file classified his potential as S-Class 179 199.

After joining Zion, Yi Chen entered Professor Chamberson's care and enrolled at Arfros Tistic Academy. He chose plant-, death-, and unknown-aligned professions, while Chamberson became his mentor and managed his enrollment 30. At the Academy, Yi Chen pursued both academic study and extreme physical development, specifically seeking to reach the Human Limit in multiple attributes 36 38.

Teacher Zed's six-month program dismantled and rebuilt Yi Chen's body through punishing training. Although his condition initially deteriorated, he ultimately underwent a physical transformation, raising his Physique and developing a body unlike that produced by conventional training 44 78.
