Chapter.2 Night of Terror

When Yi Chen, playing the role of the Eldest Daughter Jennifer, changed clothes, the Gu Worm attached to her back shriveled along with her, perfectly concealing itself.

She changed into a relatively lightweight down jacket and jeans, tied her hair into a ponytail, and walked out of the bathroom.

Unexpectedly, her fiancé Calvin had just returned from outside.

There was a little moisture remaining on his shoulders, seemingly from melting snow.

He was not carrying any candles. Instead, a huge travel bag was slung across his body, and he looked exhausted, as though he were utterly worn out.

For the sake of playing his role, Jennifer still asked, "Calvin, where did you go?"

Calvin pushed up his glasses, his expression switching instantly from cold to his usual gentleness. "We're staying the night, aren't we? I went to the car and brought up the luggage. If the snow gets too deep tomorrow, we'll have to find a way to clear it."

As he spoke, Calvin pulled a metal snow shovel from the travel bag and waved it in front of his fiancée.

"Mm... I'm going out for a while."

Just as Jennifer was carrying the candleholder out of the room,

Smack! Her wrist was suddenly seized.

"Darling, where are you going so late at night? That blizzard just blew out all the dining hall windows. Besides, you don't seem to want to run into your father, do you?

"Why not stay in the room with me? Tomorrow morning, we can find a way to leave this place."

Calvin pressed his body closer. His stubbled chin rubbed lightly against Jennifer's shoulder, and she could even feel something behind her pressing against her back.

Then her fiancé Calvin tried to kiss the sensitive spot beneath her earlobe.
