In a dark, cramped prison cell,
Nash was imprisoned there. He had not been idle during that month. At first, being restrained had been somewhat difficult to adjust to, but he gradually recalled Yi Chen's mention of "patience and waiting," then learned William and Boss Yi's most common meditation posture and closed his eyes to meditate in the cell.
He recalled the scene of kneeling before that idol in the Sea of Death.
He recalled the self-forgetful sensation of perfectly merging with Yi Chen and fighting Ate.
After an unknown amount of time, Nash actually felt as though he were floating in the ocean. The seawater even kept rising, submerging his body until it poured backward into his nostrils.
When he suddenly opened his eyes,
Nash discovered that his cell had truly been filled with Black Seawater, leaving him no room to breathe.
As a powerful feeling of suffocation swept through his body, Nash felt no discomfort. Instead, his expression was relaxed and natural, because he had already accepted death.
The Black Seawater continued pouring in. The water pressure in the cell grew stronger and stronger, finally blasting the cell door open and carrying Nash out with it.
Just as he left the cell, Nash suddenly realized something.
He had never entered the cell at all. While he had been descending the stairs, Princess had inserted something into the back of his head.
Whoosh!
The entire chain with its conical tip was pulled from the back of Nash's head, accompanied by a large amount of black fluid. Death had loosened the conical tip's fixation and fusion with his brain.
Nash's dazed gaze gradually returned to normal. He suddenly turned his head, but when he looked at the person who had removed the chain for him, he failed to recognize him
