Deep inside the hastily assembled clinic stood a laboratory set to the highest access level.

In the corridor outside, a nurse from the Crimson Cross Society stood every meter apart. Tiny bumps continuously rose and pulsed across the cross-shaped structures on their faces. They were in a state of intense mental concentration, ensuring that no one would disturb what was happening inside.

Inside the laboratory, ten "Brains in a Vat" were neatly arranged in a ring.

Each was a chaos-modified chaos vessel capable of jointly drawing a group of people into the Dreamscape. When William and the others first set foot on Silver Sea Island, they had been unknowingly affected by the Brains in a Vat.

Now, there were ten of them acting together.
