"Oh! What a cozy little house. I thought it was really Eden. Before coming, I even took the time to read the relevant passages in the Bible. I didn't expect all my preparation to be completely useless.

"I hadn't eaten anything along the way, either. Thank you so much, senior.

"I wonder what delicious food can be eaten in such a special place..."

Before William could finish speaking, he suddenly felt an unusual bloody taste seep into his mouth. When he opened his mouth to pronounce the next word, his entire tongue slid out between his lips.

Seeing that his tongue was about to fall to the floor, William hurriedly bent down and caught it securely, narrowly avoiding soiling the brown-striped wool carpet.

William stuffed his tongue back into his mouth. When he tried to say something else, he quickly covered his mouth with his right hand and kept quiet.

He took off his shoes,

then stepped silently across the carpet toward the Dining Hall in a pair of white cotton socks bearing the golden words 'Smiling Hole' around the openings.

He reached out and moved the solid-wood chair in front of the dining table, likewise without making a sound.

After sitting down, William recalled all the gentlemanly etiquette he had learned at Zion-Arfros Tistic Academy and refined every detail.

With extremely elegant and proper movements, he tucked the napkin into his collar, sat upright, and waited for the food to be served.

Click! The heat was turned off.

A medium-rare lamb chop was placed in the center of a plate and garnished with rosemary leaves.

The man also took a bottle of wine of unknown origin from among the cabinets, poured it into a stemmed glass, and brought it to the dining table together with the pan-fried lamb chop.
