"It looks like he simply forgot to lock the door... Speaking of which, it's already past four in the afternoon. There's nothing left outside but last night's food scraps. Did this guy sleep until now?
That's even worse than some of my college roommates when I was alive."
Considering the Principal's arrangements, Yi Chen did not wake the other man. Instead, he began tidying up the filthy, disordered low-rent apartment that had apparently not been cleaned for at least a week.
He waited until after six in the evening.
A powerful hunger woke Regan, though he remained half-asleep. Relying on habitual thought, he walked into the living room, picked up the rotary phone, and called to order food.
However,
his habitual thoughts could not find the phone, because its position had changed.
This deviation from the norm quickly woke him up.
The room before him was so clean it looked brand-new, leaving Regan frozen in place.
He even wondered whether he had slept in someone else's home for the night, until he caught sight of the girl figurine beside the bed and confirmed that this was indeed his rented apartment.
At that moment,
a handsome young man wearing an Ivy League-style Black Suit walked out of the kitchen, carrying a freshly roasted whole chicken and several steak-like dishes.
The moment Regan saw such delicious food, drool immediately dripped from his mouth, accompanied by an uncooperative growl from his stomach.
"Mr. Regan, you're awake? When I came over, I found that your front door wasn't locked, so I let myself in. I also helped you clean up a little.
"It was almost time for dinner, so I bought some ingredients outside and prepared them while I was at it."
Regan showed no displeasure at the other man trespassing into his home.
