Sunshine Hotel
Nearly 70% of the gentlemen in the city who had yet to achieve a Limit Break were gathered at this hotel. Yi Chen and Barry had also spent the night here, and even gotten a lavish breakfast for free that morning.
As the gentleman who had jumped to his death transformed into a "dead-man road sign" by landing headfirst,
following its indication toward the hotel entrance, they could see intense flashes of light and shadows, along with figures moving about. It seemed a fierce battle was underway.
At the same time, sounds came from different floors, mixed with occasional screams. This meant the hotel had already been invaded by death from within, and quite a few gentlemen might even have turned into the dead.
If this were an ordinary and common pathological infection, Yi Chen would have gone forward to help without hesitation. But death was now sweeping across the entire city and expanding at an alarming rate. Every human who died would give birth to another dead.
The safest course of action was to return to Sunshine Hospital and reunite with Old Mr. Hervoye. With a Transcender stationed there, resisting death would be much easier.
As he stared at the hotel building before him, Yi Chen recalled the Gentleman Class he had taken for more than a year in Zion, feeling the gentleman's attire on his body,
which constantly reminded him of the basic qualities a gentleman ought to possess.
Barry, who had come from a knightly background, instinctively started walking toward the hotel.
"Barry!"
Yi Chen's shout made Barry stop.
"If we choose the hotel, there's a good chance we'll be trapped inside for a long time and unable to reunite with Mr. Hervoye at the hospital.
