Just as Yi Chen was preparing to leave the hotel,
dressed in a brand-new outfit and ready to bid the Duke farewell, he suddenly sensed something strange again as he walked—the odd feeling came from within the lining of his clothes.

His right foot, which had been about to step out of the hotel, withdrew.
The merchant guild was in the middle of relocating, and most of the hotel's guests had already left. Only a few Golden Masks remained in the lobby, cleaning.

a Golden Mask carrying a mop and wearing an apron plopped down beside him. Looking at the plague book affected by Black Death Skin, the expression on its mask actually began to furrow.
"You actually changed the nature of the plague book... This is the first time I've ever seen something like this. It means you're using a power that doesn't belong to the Old World to alter the essence of the disease.
"That's dangerous~ If anyone finds out, some extremists and hardliners from the Old World may well regard you as a Nemesis. They won't rest easy until they've wiped you out completely.
"Our merchant guild doesn't mind, though. His Grace the Duke is one of the most open-minded and progressive beings around."
