"Here we are at the circus's 'crossroads'!"
Under Catherine's control, the roller coaster stopped at a passage entrance in a cliff wall. After walking several dozen steps through the enclosed passage, they arrived at an internal crossroads.

"Is the circus really this big...?"
"William, you've got that wrong. We're not underneath the circus—we're inside it! Every area is within the tent, and the whole thing can move with the tent at any time, allowing for rapid relocation.
"The reason it feels so large is that this tent belongs to Boss. She personally created the 'Circus Tent,' whose internal space can expand!
"As long as we have enough funds, we can completely open several more departments. That's why we're all working so hard, trying to earn more 'fear' and turn the circus into the largest organization in the Old World."
William did not delve further into Catherine's words. What the circus ultimately became had nothing to do with him. All he needed was a stepping stone.
"By the way, which department is that Mad One in?"
Catherine skipped over to the sign on the western side in her black-and-white stockings.
"This way! He's the circus's highest-ranking Beast Tamer. He has direct authority over the beast pens, and his beast-taming performances frequently rank first in the entire circus in terms of positive reviews."
"Beast Tamer..."
William had a vague feeling that something was very wrong, but he still nodded and followed Catherine toward the beast-pen management district.
"By the way, the animals in the circus should be very different from the animals I know, right?"
