When faced with an important Abyssal choice, William held nothing back. He decisively ate all the remaining "Lucky Meat," closing his eyes as he felt the entire process of chewing, swallowing, digesting, and absorbing it.
Once the meat's nutrients had flowed throughout his body via his blood vessels, William rotated the Old World model, which resembled a globe, while blindfolded. At the same time, he gently pressed his index finger against it.
The rotation stopped. When William opened his eyes,
"Huh? What's going on...? Could the meat have expired?"
Even Mr. Gian, seated across from him, looked puzzled. William's index finger had not landed on any Abyssal marker, but instead pointed at a completely featureless area of open space.
"Perhaps you weren't in the right state. Close your eyes and try again."
At Mr. Gian's reminder, William closed his eyes again. He recalled the sensation of being at the bottom of the Abyss, then rotated the model before him once more.
It stopped. He opened his eyes.
His index finger had still landed in the same place.
If the Lucky Meat had simply failed to work the first time, then pointing to the same location twice in a row was highly suspicious.
"This... Mr. Gian, is it possible that there's a Tenth Abyss in the area where my finger landed, one you don't know about?"
"That's possible. The last time I went out was half a year ago. Without the Old World's protection from the Evil Sun, darkness is constantly breeding.
Although the probability of an Abyss being born is extremely low, we can't rule out the possibility.
You should go directly to this location and take a look. If you find nothing, come back and discuss it with me.
If you really find a Tenth Abyss unknown to me,
