When she saw her teacher swallowed whole, Thirteen's mechanical body trembled as well, desperately wanting to light a candle and drive away the evil lurking in the darkness.
But remembering her teacher's warning, she thought it over more carefully. Through her delirious-brain connection, she confirmed that the swallowed teacher was unharmed. In the end, she suppressed her restless feelings and quietly waited inside the room.
Gurgle, gurgle~
This enormous rat skull woven from tails had no structures such as a tongue or teeth. Its function was more akin to a "transmission device."
Pushed and squeezed along by the rat tails, William slid toward the depths of the hotel, sent to some secret area, some place hidden from the light.
During the transmission, William even vaguely sensed space compressing and folding, as if he were truly being transported through the seams in a wall.
This feeling is very similar to the circus tent. Is it because of the hotel's special building materials? As expected, is it connected to the Abyss?
He continued pretending to sleep,
letting the passage formed by rat tails carry him deeper, toward the dark entity corresponding to the area behind the hotel.
In a pitch-black, profound unknown space, William, covered in slippery fluid, fell from nearly a hundred meters above and crashed heavily onto the ground... Crack~ It felt as though one of his arms had been broken.
Ah! The pain forced William awake. Clutching his left arm, where the broken bone had pierced through, he screamed in agony.
He did his best to calm down and looked around.
This rotten, foul-smelling underground space was filled with piles of severed limbs and broken bones as high as hills. Some kind of digestive fluid still clung to them.
This was probably the feeding ground of some unknown entity.
