Generous Rewards

PS: I was only three hundred words away from finishing this scene this morning, but I never had the time. I'm swamped to death. I'll write the second chapter right away and try to finish it before two.

"Two outsiders?"

"Why would Mr. Eddie recommend two outsiders?" Paul, who was driving the carriage, was speaking with a butler-like man some distance away.

There was also a building in this orchard, and it looked like a manor from the outside.

"They both have extensive experience with rabbits. This is a handwritten letter from the Dean." Paul respectfully handed the letter in his hand to the butler.

"Very well. I only hope these rude and unreasonable outsiders do not damage the master's grapes," the butler said doubtfully after reading the letter.

The butler was impeccably dressed, his hair slicked back with oil. He looked clean, neat, and capable.

"These people may look well dressed, but they stink," Adam privately chatted with Yang Bo again.

"That was just how sanitation was in ancient times. It's not like they could bathe every day."

"It's not about bathing. They just naturally smell like that."

Yang Bo and Adam were not qualified to approach the butler and speak with him. The knight beside the butler was watching them like a hawk.

After finishing his discussion, Paul returned. "Handy, your task today is to eliminate as many rabbits in the orchard as possible. Be careful not to damage the fruit trees or grapevines."

"Thank you, Mr. Paul!" Yang Bo took off his hat and bowed to Paul, then bowed toward the distant butler as well.
