The hundred Starry Sky Marines were overjoyed. They immediately split into squads of ten and, following their previous drills, launched an attack on those Mid-Rank Insectoids with lightning speed!
These Mid-Rank Insectoids were neither Golden Mosquito Tribe nor Black Mantis Tribe. They were simply Red-Eyed Bee Tribe.
They had also evolved into roughly humanoid forms, but the two large protruding red compound eyes on their heads seemed impossible to evolve away, starkly displaying the traits of their Zerg identity.
Boom! The ground trembled, and even the mountaintops swayed.
The hundred Starry Sky Marines who had launched the surprise attack formed groups of ten. The fronts of their mechas switched to sharp blades and swept horizontally toward the antennae atop the heads of the ten Mid-Rank Insectoids!
Although they had drilled many times, at least half of them were facing Insectoid Soldiers in actual combat for the first time—and Mid-Rank Insectoid Soldiers at that—so they could not help feeling somewhat timid.
But the other half had already found their fighting spirit.
The first ten-man squad to launch the ambush consisted of those Starry Sky Marines who had previously fought alongside Xia Chujian to repel a Black Mantis Tribe sneak attack.
For them, merely cutting off the Red-Eyed Bee Tribe's antennae was a sure thing.
But that also gave the Red-Eyed Bee Tribe time to react.
Though they had lost their antennae, red light immediately burst from their compound eyes, shining like searchlights onto the Human Mecha Warriors before them.
On Southern Cross Star, they had once fought the human Resistance Forces.
They knew that humanity's Regular Mechas could not withstand attacks from Mid-Rank Insectoids.
So although they were enraged by the loss of their antennae, they were not especially terrified.
Their antennae would grow back eventually. It did not matter.
But
