Lin Li immediately paused the timer on his backup phone.
One minute and forty-one seconds.
Five hours in the Apocalypse World had only been one minute and forty-one seconds in reality.
The time-flow ratio was roughly 1:180. That one extra second was probably an operational error.
If whichever world he was in was the slower one, then if he went over before dawn next Monday, about fifty-six minutes would pass in the other world?
Based on his two previous experiences, that seemed about right.
"Is the flow of time really this subjective? Why is it based on me?"
"Or is it actually based on the system? For example, is this Apocalypse World itself an extension of the system?"
No matter how hard he thought about it, Lin Li could not figure out the answers. He simply gave up.
He checked himself over. It was about the same as last time; none of the zombie-related flesh or blood had come back with him. When Lin Li took out the plastic box in his pocket—the ant corpse and legs inside had vanished.
In other words, ant corpses could be taken from reality into the apocalypse, but could not be brought back from the apocalypse into reality.
Wonderful. That way, if he died in the apocalypse, even when the time ran out, his corpse would not be sent back to scare Wu Min! The system was so considerate! Lin Li gave the system a thumbs-up. The details revealed its warmth—it really... Lin Li was moved to tears.
On the system interface, the third button that had lit up now had a number on it as well: "20."
It was not a countdown. It was simply a fixed 20.
To be honest, Lin Li already had a guess as to what that number meant.
