"Seriously? You're messing with me!"
Qiang Wei's pretty face showed a hint of anger, but she had to admit that using flying knives to give the sky a middle part was insanely cool.
She wanted to learn it. She wanted that kind of ability too.
"No. But think about it—how could there be such a good deal? You want to learn, and I'll teach you.
Setting the facts aside, do you think you're capable of learning it?" Xu Yi said.
He was not worried that Qiang Wei would tell the Super Soldier Company or Du Kao about his abilities.
He did not care either. It was not that big a deal.
He did not need to keep a low profile while growing stronger. He was already a mature Cultivator! "I think I am," Qiang Wei said confidently.
"I don't think so," Xu Yi said.
"...Then how did you do it? Are you a Super Gene warrior too? But I didn't see you in the files," Qiang Wei asked.
Qiang Wei had long known who was in the Super God Academy's roster, but Xu Yi definitely was not among them.
"Me? I'm just an ordinary person with a little ability," Xu Yi said.
"No, no, no. You're not ordinary at all. Ordinary people aren't as absurdly powerful as you," Qiang Wei said, her attitude already changed from before.
"Can I take that as a compliment?" Xu Yi asked.
"You can. So, you drive so fast because of your special ability too?" Qiang Wei asked.
"You could put it that way." Xu Yi nodded.
"You have such powerful abilities. Have you ever thought about using them to do something meaningful?" Qiang Wei asked.
"Such as?" Xu Yi said.
"Protecting the country and its people," Qiang Wei said seriously, her eyes clear.
"That is indeed meaningful. Worthy of respect," Xu Yi agreed.
"I'm Du Qiangwei, a Super God Academy cadet assigned to prevent extraterrestrial civilization forces, and I'm also a Super Warrior. Would you like to join the Super God Academy?" Qiang Wei asked excitedly.
"No." Xu Yi answered directly, without the slightest hesitation.
"Why?" Du Qiangwei asked.
"We're not familiar," Xu Yi replied.
"The first meeting is unfamiliar, the second makes us acquainted. Give each other a chance to build trust," Du Qiangwei said loudly.
Xu Yi could not help but laugh, though he still said calmly, "You know, little sister, you look like a fitness and swimming membership salesperson right now."
"..." Qiang Wei.
"All right, that's it for today. See you again if there's a chance."
Xu Yi waved, returned to his car, and drove away.
Qiang Wei stood where she was and did not chase after him. She realized that she had indeed been a little too hasty.
Looking at the unhealed middle part in the sky again, she took out her phone and snapped a selfie to commemorate this special day.
Then she rode her beloved little motorcycle away from the rural highway.
Perhaps because Xu Yi had ridden it, Qiang Wei felt that her little motorcycle was especially fast today.
Half a quarter-hour earlier.
Above Juxia City, Demon Queen Morgana stood atop the clouds, looking down at the human city below as she took a deep breath of fresh air.
"Dragon Country's air is still better. The air in Sakura Country was simply awful," Morgana complained.
Dragon Country was vast and had many cities, but only Juxia City contained an abundance of Super Gene resources. The Super God Academy was here as well, so Juxia City was naturally Morgana's target.
Tianhe City also had certain special historical legends and Super Warrior genes, but it was connected to Angels, so Morgana did not want to go there.
If the Angels noticed her, she would have to wander from place to place again.
As Morgana imagined the future, she suddenly sensed a fierce wind coming from nearby. Three streaks of lightning cut through the clouds in the sky and tore through the Void.
The closer they came, the more she could feel the overwhelming power rushing toward her.
That power was too terrifying, so oppressive she could barely breathe.
"What is this?" Morgana had yet to react.
Three flying knives had already arrived before her, their powerful energy piercing through her body in an instant.
"?" Morgana.
Before she could react, the energy on the flying knives erupted, blasting Morgana's body into atoms.
The flying knives continued onward toward the distant sky!
In the air, Morgana's Demon Atoms floated about in scattered pieces before slowly gathering together. After roughly thirty seconds, they reformed into Morgana's appearance.
Morgana looked utterly shaken, her face somewhat pale. Her leather outfit had been blasted to pieces and hung in tatters, while the wings on her back had snapped into two sections.
"Fuck, what kind of monster was that? The Queen's body was shattered! Good thing I upgraded to a Fourth Generation God Body, or I'd have been completely finished," Morgana cursed.
Although her body had recovered, she still felt agonizing pain all over.
With a Fourth Generation God Body, atoms could locate one another. No matter what state the body was beaten into, it would ultimately return to its initial configuration.
In a sense, a Fourth Generation God Body was immortal and indestructible.
Likewise, a Fourth Generation God Body was incredibly durable, at least far stronger than a Third Generation Divine Body.
A Third Generation Divine Body could withstand nuclear explosions and was immune to nuclear radiation.
A Fourth Generation God Body was even more ridiculous! Yet just moments ago, Morgana's Fourth Generation God Body had been shattered all across the sky.
"What the hell was that? It looked like flying knives! Keisha likes using flying knives too? Could it have been Keisha? But isn't Keisha in Angel Nebula? How could she have chased me here?"
"Besides, with the Queen's current strength, Keisha might not necessarily be able to take me down," Morgana muttered to herself.
"No, I'm too badly injured."
"I need to find somewhere to recover!"
Morgana did not dare remain in the air. She immediately transformed into Angel Liang Bing and blended into Juxia City.
Xu Yi returned to Juxia City, but instead of going back to his university dormitory, he went to a villa complex near Juxia City University.
Mother Xu also owned property here. Since Xu Yi had come here to study, he could naturally live there.
Xu Yi could stay at the university, but he still needed to cultivate, so living alone was more convenient. Of course, he could return to the dorm whenever he had time.
"Qi Lin, are you off work?"
After returning home, Xu Yi called Qi Lin.
"I just got off work. What about you, Xu Yi? Did you skip class?" Qi Lin's stern voice came from the other end of the call.
"You know me, Qi Lin. Do I look like the kind of student who skips class? I heard you're looking for a place to live. Any news?" Xu Yi asked.
Mother Xu had told him about it over the phone. After all, Qi Lin's home was in Tianhe City, and her sudden move to Juxia City for an internship had not been very well prepared.
For example, she had to find a new place to live, though there were dormitories available.
But the police station was full of grown men, and there were very few female officers.
"Not yet," Qi Lin said.
"Then stop looking. Come live with me. My place is huge, and it's not far from your Juxia City Police Station either," Xu Yi said.
"Hehe, you think I don't know what you're up to? I'm not going," Qi Lin said.
"Cough, cough, Qi Lin, it's not like that. We're so close; shouldn't we help and care for each other?" Xu Yi said. "I'm afraid of walking right into the tiger's mouth," Qi Lin said irritably.
"Even rabbits don't eat grass near their own burrows, Qi Lin. I just want to help you. It's Mom's assignment too, so don't overthink it," Xu Yi explained.
"Bah, eating grass, my ass. Believe it or not, I'll put a pair of silver bracelets on you," Qi Lin said.
