"Cough, cough. Need help?"
In the dead silence of the universe, a pure, orthodox line of God River Language suddenly rang out without a sound.
For Angel Yan, the Sacred Left Wing, this was undoubtedly unexpected—perhaps even terrifying.
When she turned around, she saw a rather handsome young man standing behind her.
"Who are you?!"
Almost instinctively, Angel Yan retreated several steps while holding Azhui.
"Do I look that scary?" Xu Yi asked.
"Not scary. What's scary is that you appeared behind me out of nowhere. I'm the Sacred Left—"
Before Angel Yan could finish, a chill brushed past her ear. Her expression froze, and her eyes shifted slightly backward.
At some unknown moment, the young man before her had already appeared behind her again. She still could not find any information about him.
"Just who are you?"
At this point, Angel Yan did not dare move. Until she knew his origins, she needed to remain calm.
Otherwise, no one knew what might happen, and Azhui was in very poor condition.
"Me? I'm just a passing human," Xu Yi said.
"Human? Are you joking? Can humans enter space with their physical bodies alone?" Angel Yan sneered.
Xu Yi pointed at Angel Zhui and said, "I think your companion is in bad shape. She should still be salvageable."
"...I know, but there's nothing I can do," Angel Yan said.
"Perhaps I can help," Xu Yi said.
"You?"
Angel Yan looked at Xu Yi doubtfully. To her, the young man before her was shrouded in mystery. She could not retrieve any information on him, nor could she determine his strength.
"You really can?" Angel Yan asked uncertainly.
"Let's try," Xu Yi said calmly.
Yan looked at Azhui beside her. Azhui smiled miserably and said, "I don't mind. If it doesn't work, just give me a sword and revive me afterward."
"Don't say stupid things," Yan said, gently laying Azhui down.
Azhui lay flat on the ground. Her armor had been soaked through with sweat, part of her skirt clinging to her legs, her pretty face pale.
Xu Yi crouched down while Angel Yan stood behind him, her gaze sharp.
"Bear with it. The process might hurt a little," Xu Yi said gently.
"I'm an Angel warrior. A little pain—"
"Ah!"
Before Azhui could finish, she felt as if the flesh throughout her body had been forcibly torn apart. The pain was unbearable.
Yan frowned and stared intently, suffering like an ant on a hot pan.
Xu Yi pressed a finger to the spot between Angel Zhui's brows, continuously devouring the trace of Green Leaf's Sword Intent that remained within her body.
His Sword Qi Splits Stars could break anything. Yet Sword Intent injured people invisibly, impossible to see or touch, akin to the power of the Dao or laws.
Angel Zhui had been unlucky. Though she had dodged the sword qi attack, the Sword Intent had still penetrated her body.
Xu Yi had only intended to display the power of cultivation before the group members and test his current strength. After all, he had cultivated for several years without ever properly unleashing his abilities.
Who would have thought he would catch innocent bystanders in the fallout and accidentally injure Angels in the universe?
At first, Angel Zhui was in extreme pain. But as Xu Yi drew back the Sword Intent, her body quickly began to feel better. A warm force also continued to flow through her from head to toe, filling every cell with vitality.
Even her once-pale cheeks had flushed red, and her gaze had turned unfocused.
"It's done."
Xu Yi withdrew the Sword Intent, pulled back his finger, and stood up.
Angel Yan immediately stepped forward to check on Zhui, asking with concern, "Azhui, how do you feel?"
Angel Zhui slowly opened her unfocused eyes. They quickly cleared, and she sprang to her feet in one swift motion. Excitedly, she said, "I've never felt so refreshed! I really want to find someone to fight."
"Don't fight yet. Check whether there's anything wrong with your body," Yan said, still somewhat uncertain.
"I'm fine, Sister Yan. Really."
Angel Zhui swung her arms coolly, and the bones throughout her body crackled.
Only then did Yan let out a breath of relief. Looking at Xu Yi, she said, "Thank you! But are you really human? Are humans this powerful now?"
"I'm an exception." Xu Yi smiled faintly.
"Thank you," Angel Zhui said, cupping her fists in the Earth-style gesture.
"My name is Angel Yan, and she is Angel Zhui. We come from Angel Civilization. Since you saved Azhui, you are a friend of the Angels. If you encounter difficulties in the future, the Angels will protect you," Angel Yan said.
"My name is Xu Yi. As for protection, there's no need," Xu Yi said.
"Don't say that. I admit you're quite strong. But your Earth humans may soon face an invasion from an alien civilization. That isn't something individual strength can withstand. Just say the word, and the Angels can help. I am the Sacred Left Wing, with the highest authority of judgment beneath the Angel King," Angel Yan said.
"We'll see," Xu Yi said, unmoved.
Yan carefully examined Xu Yi from head to toe and found that he truly seemed not to need the Angels' help. She said, "Everyone has their own ambitions, but I'm curious how you saved Zhui. I clearly found nothing wrong with Azhui's body. And you say you're human, but I've never seen a human capable of surviving in space."
"It would be troublesome to explain, so I won't," Xu Yi said.
"...Well said." Yan gave him a thumbs-up, feeling rather stifled.
"What about you? Why are you here? And why were you injured?" Xu Yi asked.
Although he knew the reason, he still asked. Mainly because he did not want the Angels to know that he was the culprit. Otherwise, the scene would definitely be quite spectacular.
"Azhui is the Planetary Observer of the Chiwu Star System, which is the Solar System in your Earth civilization. As for me, I came to investigate the whereabouts of the Demon Queen. The Demon Queen Morgana is a notorious evil villain. She may have appeared on Earth, and if so, Earth could be in trouble.
"But who would have thought that the moment I arrived, an enormous energy sword qi suddenly split apart the planet beneath our feet.
"Just who did that?!"
As Yan spoke, her emotions grew agitated. It seemed she bore a deep resentment toward the owner of that sword qi.
"I see. Still, it's good that you survived. Everything else is water under the bridge," Xu Yi said calmly.
"No, this can't just be forgotten. As the Sacred Left Wing, I've never suffered such a huge loss. Even if I can endure it, Azhui was tortured terribly. Don't let me find out who did it, or else, hmph!" Angel Yan swore fiercely.
"Sister Yan, I'm already fine. Maybe they didn't do it on purpose. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been just one strike. Besides, I'm not the worst off. Didn't the Taotie Spaceship at the large wormhole on the edge of the Chiwu Star System get cut apart too?" Angel Zhui said.
"The Taotie deserved it. Those who commit many injustices bring destruction upon themselves," Angel Yan said.
"If there's nothing else here, should I get going?" Xu Yi asked.
"Alright. Thank you again." Angel Yan nodded.
Xu Yi turned and was about to leave. Yan suddenly thought of something and said, "Wait, Xu Yi. Since we're going to Earth anyway, let's travel together."
"Sure," Xu Yi said.
