Background

Sword Fairy Maiden was originally a human sword cultivator. She was targeted, beaten to death, and dismembered because she had “dreams.” Later examinations of her soul structure confirm that she was human in life rather than a demonic beast. 97 238

She reappeared as an Ember Artifact spirit associated with Sword Forging Manor. Unlike conventional artifact spirits, which are generally made from memory-erased demonic-beast souls and raised to obey wielders, she was self-directed, argumentative, and more interested in pursuing treatment and personal ambitions than cooperating in combat. 93

The manor lent her to Zhang Huaping as a newly forged magic artifact. Zhang protected her while introducing her to Pingchang City, where Sword Fairy Maiden encountered poverty, ghouls, demonic cultivators, and the realities beyond the manor’s sheltered environment. 97 101

While separated from the manor, she established herself at the Zhang family blacksmith shop. She received tailored artifacts, studied medicine, learned artifact classifications, and actively recruited veteran blacksmiths for Sword Forging Manor. 139

Her Blood Separation Flower spiritual root and a compatible soul-based counterpart were used in the forging of the Yin-Yang Demonic Weapon. The finished Sword Fairy Maiden became a self-repairing, growing weapon intended to return after each wielder’s death and continue developing through successive masters. 157 160

Appearance

Sword Fairy Maiden’s appearance changes with her vessel. She initially manifests as a mature human woman, later appears as a peerlessly beautiful demonic-sword artifact spirit, and can adopt the form of a young girl or use constructed bodies. 96 161 379

  • Initially described as a mature human woman with ghoul-like death energy. 96
  • Performs sword dances and deliberately presents herself as a courtesan when seeking entry into the Red Chamber. 97
  • Manifests as a “demon queen” during the Pingchang City conflict. 161
  • Uses a puppet body in the Capital City, though it lacks the five senses and cannot taste food. 324
  • Later possesses an Eternal Divine Body built around the Yin-Yang Rice Flower Sword and more than a thousand artifact components. 585

Personality

Sword Fairy Maiden is optimistic, energetic, and unusually unafraid of death. Early in her travels, she cannot properly comprehend death or fear brutal scenes; instead, she mourns that the world is less peaceful than she imagined. 101

She is ambitious and opportunistic. She treats recruitment, political connections, and major discoveries as “hidden quests,” then commits fully to exploiting them for the manor’s benefit. Her campaign to persuade Pingchang’s veteran blacksmiths to visit Sword Forging Manor demonstrates both her initiative and her willingness to leave others with the practical consequences. 130 139

Despite being a demonic sword associated with massacres, she considers medicine her true calling. She repeatedly frames swordsmanship as merely a lifestyle and dreams of becoming a renowned physician who saves lives. 206 317

She is also outspoken around powerful figures, including the Sage Xin Xichen, whom she treats as a fellow blacksmith to be taught modern terminology and “AI intelligence.” 397

Abilities & Skills

Yin-Yang Demonic Weapon

Sword Fairy Maiden is a yin-yang fused Ember Artifact with a rare divine nature of yin-yang balance.

  • Completed with six active divine abilities and one passive divine ability. 160
  • Her fused structure derives from two embers of the same origin: one Yin and one Yang. 238
  • Considered a potentially foundational “primordial embryo” for sun-and-moon artifacts due to her yin-yang spiritual-root cycle. 196
  • Can grow through use and gradually absorb materials into her soul void. 157

Blood Separation Flower

Her Blood Separation Flower spiritual root has exceptional strategic value for infiltration and impersonation.

  • Separates flesh and embeds it into magic artifacts. 130
  • Allows transformation and impersonation that can misdirect suspicion toward living demonic cultivators. 130
  • Was central to plans that could disrupt the balance of power in Pingchang City. 130
  • Its primary value is deception and transformation rather than direct combat. 130

Scarecrow Creation

Sword Fairy Maiden possesses a Heavenly-grade divine ability capable of creating scarecrows as a permanent demonic-beast race.

  • Transforms victims into scarecrows. 160
  • Scarecrows can be cultivated after being defeated and retained as pets or mounts. 307
  • Excels at area clearing and large-scale attacks rather than single-target combat. 307
  • Can potentially unleash a scarecrow army when supplied with immense external magical power. 397

Blood and Soul Absorption

As a Yin-Yang Demonic Sword, she can accelerate a wielder’s growth by consuming the dead.

  • Absorbs an enemy’s essence blood and soul to feed the wielder’s cultivation. 174
  • Her growth mechanism makes her a blood-drinking weapon. 157
  • Excessive use produces severe mental side effects in the wielder. 174
  • A wielder overwhelmed by the side effects may become her puppet instead of controlling her. 174

Ember Artifact Properties

Her artifact nature allows continued development beyond the limits of ordinary weapons.

  • Can self-repair and endure indefinitely if supplied with materials. 157
  • Chooses her own masters rather than being permanently owned. 157
  • Is intended to return after a wielder dies, allowing future wielders to continue nurturing her. 157 160
  • Ember Artifacts are normally restricted by their need to remain rooted in earth veins, making them most suitable as clan-guarding weapons. 157

Artifact Cultivation

Her Eternal Divine Body represents a new discipline of human-body transplantation and magic-artifact modification.

  • Uses the Yin-Yang Rice Flower Sword as its core. 585
  • Contains more than a thousand weapon components, each carrying a minor innate divine ability. 585
  • Provides immense potential power but suffers from low efficiency because controlling so many components simultaneously is difficult. 585
  • Her body is sufficiently compatible for the Medical Fairy Maiden to control after body-snatching. 584

Medicine and Divine Crafting

Sword Fairy Maiden studies medicine while serving as a public representative of Xi Rong’s forging faction.

  • Learns medical treatments at the Zhang family blacksmith shop. 139
  • Participates in the Sage-approved project to forge the sun and moon. 314 315
  • Recruits divine craftsmen and contributes to discussions on spiritual roots, artifact bodies, and defensive weapon designs. 315 327 397
  • Hosts divine-weapon presentations and auctions despite not fully understanding every high-level material being traded. 367 369

Equipment / Forms / Items
