I originally wanted to write more than two million words, but my performance dropped drastically later on, so I cut some unnecessary branches and sped up the pace a little.
When other people write books, they either have a lot of gimmicks at the beginning, explosive results, a lot of recommendations, hundreds of thousands of words, and a quick cut of the book to make a quick buck.
Either the results are mediocre at the beginning, but you work steadily, write better and better, and have full stamina.
It's better for me not to touch both ends.
Several books started with a few hundred orders, but began to collapse before they could write more than a million words.
The previous book, "Clones", was initially ordered for 200, and at the end of the writing, the order was more than 2,000. I originally dreamed of hitting a high-quality product, but as soon as the map was changed, everything was shattered.
The first order of this book was more than 600, and it was sold out in the third month after it was put on the shelves. As a result, it is still a little short of 4,000.
But overall I am very satisfied. This is the first time I have written a high-quality result, which is a great improvement for me.
Of course there are many regrets.
This book has no good recommendations from beginning to end. It has been recommended four times in the new book period. It is obviously not bad to read, but it was interrupted for a week because of the recommendation mechanism.
After it was put on the shelves, it was obviously a high-quality product, but it turned out that I didn't get a single A-level recommendation until the end.
As long as the last best-selling selection can be achieved, the results should be further improved.
Then there's the author level. If you're just shy of level five, you're probably just one short of a best-selling selection...
But it's not a big problem. If you write your next book well, it will have everything you need!
After writing three books, although the author is still frustrated, the progress is still obvious in the results.
Therefore, fellow Daoists, you can believe me, the next book will definitely be better.
Let's talk about the new book:
I haven't written it yet, but I have two ideas.
One is to continue the style of this book and continue to write light-hearted articles on immortality.
But this time I don't want to write about the sect's cultivation of immortality. I want to write about Lineage's cultivation of immortality.
It seems that I have never seen the relaxed and joyful Lineage Cultivation of Immortality. The Lineage Cultivation of Immortality that I have seen before is either dark and sad like "Profound Mirror Immortal Clan", or it is about steady management, or cool stories like having many children and many blessings.
I feel like it should be interesting to write.
The second is to write a horror-themed book. I have a good idea, but I feel it is very difficult and challenging.
Anyway, I haven't decided which one to open yet. No matter which one I open, my first goal this time is to stay steady!
It has been almost three years since I wrote it, and I still have no book with more than two million words. It would be embarrassing to tell anyone about it.
So I plan to spend more time preparing the new book, and the release date will be... probably at the end of next month, I'm not sure yet.
