Inside Frieza's Spaceship.
"Hm? More news about my dear brother? By now, he should have arrived on Planet Yardrat, shouldn't he? He's been lurking in my territory for so long. Go on, Zarbon—what new information is there this time?"
Frieza clearly could not have imagined that Cooler had already been killed. He elegantly took a sip of red wine before seriously looking at Zarbon, signaling for him to speak.
"It's like this, Lord Frieza... King Cooler... is dead!!!"
"I see. Dead..."
The casual words had barely left his mouth when Frieza suddenly froze, his expression stiffening as he remained unable to recover for a long while.
"You're saying... my brother, King Cooler, is dead?!" Frieza finally came back to his senses and asked in utter disbelief.
Cooler had been far stronger than him. Though he had never admitted it, Frieza knew it perfectly well.
Cooler was dead... Didn't that mean an incomparably powerful enemy had appeared in the North Galaxy?!
"According to the information sent back by the Trusted Subordinate we arranged, the one who killed King Cooler was... was... a Super Saiyan." Zarbon forcibly suppressed the fear in his heart as he continued.
Upon hearing this, Frieza's expression swiftly turned icy.
Super... Saiyan?!!! What a familiar name—and one that filled him with dread.
For years, he had lived under the shadow left behind by his ancestors. Later, acting on the orders of God of Destruction Beerus, he had personally ended the Saiyan race and completely strangled that so-called legend in its cradle. He had toyed with the Saiyans in the palm of his hand, raising them like pet dogs.
"Could it... could it be those Saiyans?!"
The question blurted out, Frieza's brow furrowed tighter and tighter.
He recalled those Saiyans he had encountered back then...
