Though they had been apart for seventeen years, everyone on Earth had been waiting for Talot's return. They had never given up.
He was no exception. Many times, he would think back to everything that had happened when Talot was still around seventeen years ago.
Earth was what it was today because of Talot. Without Talot, they would all still be trapped in the past. Forget leaving Earth—even some random outsider could have come along and wrecked the planet.
"Master, who was that on the phone? You look really excited. Did something good happen?" Krillin asked. He was sitting on the sofa watching television, and Master Roshi's excessive excitement had drawn his attention.
Beside him sat his daughter and wife.
However, unlike in the original timeline, his wife was not Android 18, but Marlon, Krillin's former girlfriend who had appeared in the original story.
Unlike the original, Krillin was not the same Krillin. After meeting Marlon, he had used his decisive methods to scare off every one of her suitors, then smoothly got together with her.
It had to be said, Krillin's change in personality had its reasons.
On one hand, he had been influenced by Talot and the others back then. On the other, Earth's overall situation had changed drastically from an early stage, causing Earthlings like them to mature ahead of time, more or less.
The same was true for Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu.
