Udeer stood atop the enormous snow-white Origin Tree, gazing from afar at the Four Seasons Tree rapidly collapsing in the starry sky.
That colossal tree, vast enough to rival a galaxy, now resembled a sponge shrinking amid raging flames.
He could see emerald branches and leaves withering and blackening, while countless flowers and fruits turned into white Ash.
"This is the fourth Four Seasons Tree destroyed by the void."
A Demon Hunter beside him spoke softly, his voice heavy with grief.
Leaning on his Cage Staff, Udeer turned around.
The staff, forged from the skull of a Void Spirit Great Demon Beast, had countless translucent tentacles waving about its tip. For countless years, it had been his capable right-hand man in the struggle against the void.
"What are the void's movements next?" he asked in a low voice.
"The Void Spirit World has begun simultaneous erosion into more than seven thousand different worlds and universes. Our world is merely one of them. According to the intelligence gathered, there are three Super Energy Level worlds and seventeen high-energy worlds among them. The number is still slowly rising."
The fair-skinned female Demon Hunter beside him answered swiftly.
"What about the Horn Defense Line?" Udeer asked gravely.
"One end of the Horn Defense Line—the Star Spirit Alliance in the Heavenly Devil World—has collapsed. The other two points probably will not hold much longer. Legion Commander, we must prepare to withdraw as soon as possible," a Demon Hunter reminded him.
