The instant Lu Ning saw that line of text, his pupils suddenly contracted. His whole body began to tremble slightly.
He stared at the phone for a long time, seeming to have completely drifted off.
"Brother?"
"Brother??"
Zhou Pan kept calling him, but he showed no reaction.
She leaned over to look at Lu Ning's phone. The screen was blank, with nothing on it at all. It was merely an empty email sent to the wrong address.
"Brother, what's wrong?" She reached out and gave Lu Ning a push.
"N-Nothing." Only then did Lu Ning come back to himself, forcing a smile.
"You don't look so good." Zhou Pan felt as though something had happened to her brother and asked worriedly.
"No... I just suddenly thought of some things from the past." Lu Ning put away his phone. From his sister's reaction just now, he already knew that perhaps he was the only one who could see this email.
"We're going out to have fun tomorrow. Are you coming? Come with me, okay? Just keep me company?" Zhou Pan said in a slightly coquettish voice.
Lu Ning did not really want to go anymore. Yet, for some reason, after Zhou Pan kept pleading with him, he finally agreed to go out with her.
But compared to his earlier absent-mindedness, he now seemed much more solemn, as though he were hesitating over and pondering some difficult choice.
Zhou Pan found it a little strange, but did not take it to heart. Her brother had loved putting on airs since he was young. He often said things nobody else could understand.
Things like how his status was noble, how his talent was unmatched, how a mere Mind Power Master was nothing to him. He had boasted all sorts of wild nonsense, and
