"Are you sure?" Lu Sheng frowned tightly.
Beside him, Hong Shenlu slowly drew a short blade, a murderous gleam in his eyes.
Lin Shengya was about to blurt out, "I'm not going," when the corner of her eye caught Hong Shenlu's movement beside her. The hairs all over her body instantly stood on end.
"I-I'll think it over again!" she hurriedly relented.
"Are you going or not!?" Lu Sheng asked impatiently.
"I'm going, I'm going! I'll go!" Lin Shengya felt the cold tip of a blade pressing against her back. Her entire body stiffened, and she did not dare move at all.
"Right. The one who called my phone—was that your mother?" Lu Sheng asked again.
"Yes." By now, Lin Shengya was certain that the people before her were desperadoes who feared neither Heaven nor earth.
They were even wearing standardized uniforms resembling military attire. Clearly, this group had long been accustomed to lawlessness and did not care in the slightest about the Federation's legal restrictions on military uniforms.
Just like the Norsent terrorists of legend.
Having confirmed this, Lu Sheng's expression eased slightly.
"Good. Lead the way."
The group swiftly left the villa with Zhao Longkui. Inside the villa, everyone's phones had lost signal, the landlines had had their wires cut, and all contact with the outside world had been completely severed. They were trapped under guard.
Lu Sheng and Lin Shengya exited the villa. Someone specifically drove Lin Shengya's silver sedan over and parked it in front of them.
Lu Sheng pulled open the door and got in first. Lin Shengya and another woman in black got into the back seat together.
Hong Shenlu took the driver's seat.
More than a dozen disguised vehicles of various kinds followed behind them, filled with members of Lu Sheng's guard unit.
