The End II

Heavenly Devils had the entire Heart-Image World as their backing. Even if they died, they could draw upon the Heart-Image World's power and resurrect again. They simply could not be killed.

Unless the Heart-Image World itself was destroyed. In that respect, they were somewhat like a deity presiding over a divine kingdom.

If a deity stayed within its divine kingdom and never emerged, sending only avatars condensed from divine power outside, then its nature was actually quite similar to a Heavenly Devil's.

The difference, however, was that Void Darkness Heavenly Devils were versatile talents. Within their own Heart-Image Worlds, they had to comprehend every rule governing the construction of the entire Heart-Image World.

Deities, on the other hand, were like parasites clinging to the planes. They only needed to understand their own core rules and manage their core Divine Authorities. The universe's rules would naturally fill in everything else.

That was the true greatest gap.

Simply put, Void Darkness Heavenly Devils were akin to omnipotent creator gods, while ordinary deities were weakened, incomplete versions of Void Darkness Heavenly Devils.

And they had been weakened by a tremendous degree.

This was why the deities' divine power was fundamentally incomplete. Against Lu Sheng, they were almost laughably fragile.

"So many deities joining hands still put less pressure on me than that single mass of Abyss Consciousness."

Lu Sheng shook his head slightly and cast one final glance at the land below. The earth, originally black-red, had now mostly transformed into a faint green.

Not even a shadow of the former demon allied forces remained.

"It's over. So-called deities are nothing more than agents of this world's natural will. Meaningless."

Lu Sheng was somewhat disappointed. After comprehending the essence of deities, there was no longer any mystery in this world worth digging into.
