Whoosh! Lu Sheng's hand suddenly came up empty as Luo Lin vanished once more.

Bang!!

Another dull thud rang out. Lu Sheng spun around with a whipping kick, striking Luo Lin squarely in the waist just as she reappeared. The blow sent her flying hard into the door before she rolled to the floor.

"Useless." Lu Sheng strode closer.

Suddenly, a kitchen knife came whistling at high speed from behind him.

Lu Sheng tilted his head slightly, and the kitchen knife grazed his hair before hacking fiercely into the wall before him.

When he looked ahead again, sure enough, Luo Lin had vanished once more.

Turning around, he saw Luo Lin standing in the kitchen doorway, clutching a metal fork and showing him a strange smile.

Lu Sheng's heart suddenly lurched. He violently lowered his head as a thread of black qi whistled toward him from behind, passing right over the top of his head.
