Evil God II

Evangeline wore a pitch-black little dress, its hem reaching only to her knees and revealing her near-perfect, jade-white calves.

Her long black hair streamed backward in the wind, and tear tracks from being beaten to tears still lingered on her pretty face.

This wealthy young miss, only nineteen years old, had witnessed the cruelty and reality of true society in the brief span of two minutes.

Two punches, one slap, and a knee strike had made her understand just how weak the men she had encountered before were. They were as fragile as little flowers, utterly incapable of resistance before the man in front of her.

Though that was her misconception, Lu Sheng undoubtedly possessed such strength.

"Where are we going?" Evangeline asked quietly.

"First, we'll go to the place where they found the underground karst cave. Do you know it?" Lu Sheng asked in return.

"The underground karst cave... I know it. My uncle is in charge of the investigation and research there. He's a history professor at Berlin University," Evangeline explained softly.

"Good. Then that's where we're going." Lu Sheng intended to probe the place first and assess its threat level. If there was no real problem, he would deal with the trouble directly. If it was dangerous, he would retreat for now, cultivate diligently that night, and return tomorrow.

After dealing with this underground karst cave, he intended to visit Miskatonic University. Perhaps he could find something there that he had long been seeking.

The things hidden beneath the surface of this world fascinated him.

There were also the secrets that had suddenly been uncovered. What secrets had the original Lu Sheng been hiding? What was his identity? Why had he possessed symbols resembling those of an Evil God? These were all problems that needed answers, one
