Lu Sheng remained silent. He was still immersed in the memories that had awakened moments ago.

They were memories from Angis Xia.

The Yuan Xunying of the past had already been completely exterminated, forgotten by all. Angis Xia—the being that had left the evil god rune within his body—had also mostly dispersed in its true form. Only the final Resurrection Rune remained, capable of reviving at any moment.

What astonished Lu Sheng most was that he could sense that Angis Xia's surviving fragments of soul were no different from the descending Heavenly Devils he had encountered when arriving in other worlds.

They all possessed the formidable trait of traversing time and space and descending without loss.

The monster in the darkness had vanished at some unknown point.

Lu Sheng's mind was a muddled mess. Vast amounts of chaotic memories flashed through his head like scenes replaying from a film. He could barely maintain an outward appearance of calm as he slowly walked out of the underground cavern and climbed up to the surface.

The beautiful girl, Evangeline, was still waiting for him outside.

The moment she saw him emerge, she rushed over and pulled him into the car.

Once the car started moving, the wind it stirred scattered the strange stench clinging to Lu Sheng's body.

Yet his mind continued turning without pause.
