Three Sacred Spirit Gate.
Three enormous jade-white statues slowly rotated through the starry void, embedded in a massive silver metal disc that turned at a leisurely pace.
Before the fox statue among the three stood several men in fitted gray outfits, black cloaks draped behind them. They silently gazed up at the statue's face.
Faint blue arcs of electricity flowed across the leader's body, as though terrifying currents could erupt from him at any moment. His face was hidden in the dim light, leaving only the pale bridge of his nose visible.
"Still haven't found them?" The man's voice rang like clashing metal, crisp and sonorous, yet strangely devoid of rises and falls, carrying an odd electronic quality.
"No. We can roughly determine their direction through tracking spells, but we cannot precisely control their location." A young man dressed like a scholar shook his head slightly.
"It doesn't matter if we can't find them. Our true target was never those people. What we want is Lu Sheng's secret," the leader said in a low voice.
"But weren't they one and the same?" someone asked doubtfully.
"They are, but with Lu Sheng's cunning, he might not necessarily put all his eggs in one basket. Attend me!"
He suddenly shouted.
Two blue streaks of light swiftly descended from the sky and landed on the disc behind them. Two Daoists in blue robes knelt on one knee and greeted the man.
"Disciples Chen Chong and Cheng Shanqi pay respects to Ancestor!"
"You two will make a trip to Libra City. Lu Sheng was once saved by a physician there. Bring that physician and all his nearby relatives here."
"My lord, isn't this... somewhat against the rules? Green Ravine Sect and Libra City may object." One of the men behind him frowned.
