After entering Full Moon Lake, Wayne immediately turned the rudder and sailed along the shallows by the shore. According to him, if they passed through the middle of the lake, something terrifying would definitely happen.

Traveling through the shallows required extreme caution. One careless mistake and they would "run aground."

Wayne slowed the boat, steering carefully as he shouted to Shier, "Go bring the sheep over!"

Hobart took the chance to voice the question in his heart. "Why is there a live sheep on the boat?"

Without taking his eyes off the waters ahead, Wayne said, "If we run into a lake monster in the shallows, it might ram a hole in the boat or overturn it. The moment we spot one, we throw the sheep into the lake. While they're busy eating the sheep, they won't bother with us."

Hobart nodded. It sounded even more dangerous to sail here than on the open sea.

"M-mon-monster!" Shier cried, pointing toward the center of the lake.

Wayne roared, "We're not blind! You bastard idiot... kill the sheep, now!"

There were a few more curses in the middle that once again exceeded Hobart's comprehension.

He looked toward the center of the lake. Amid the faint ripples, there really was a massive creature charging toward them.

The monster was roughly the size of a large crocodile, but its head resembled that of a carp. Its body was covered in scales, and it seemed to have powerful limbs as well.

Shier's hand shook so badly around the knife that, after two attempts, he still failed to find the major blood vessel in the goat's neck. The goat looked as though it wanted to cry but had no tears.

"What are you shaking for?" Wayne rushed out of the cabin, ready to snatch the knife
