Chapter 382
After assigning work to his subordinates, Hobart returned to the Study and took a sip of tea.
The Lord's Manor Study had finished renovations yesterday, so Hobart finally no longer had to handle everything in his bedroom.
Using "travel," he arrived once more at Count Christine's Estate in Feneport City. By coincidence, Christine happened to be home today.
After meeting him, Hobart hurriedly said, "I found a young lady to help me. She has also agreed to become my wife, so you can announce that I will be getting married soon."
Christine smiled faintly. "Youth is wonderful. You can find love at first sight."
Then he asked, "Where is she from? How old is she this year? What do her parents do?"
"She is from Backlund," Hobart said, with no intention of concealing it. "She is one or two years older than me. Her father is an Officer and is currently on the Southern Continent. Her mother has already passed away."
Christine instructed Doffis, "Have the kitchen prepare a table of Backlund specialties for lunch."
He added, "Invite that young lady over at noon. The three of us will have lunch together."
Hobart froze. "She... she is in Backlund. It is quite far away."
"Don't you have 'travel'?" Christine asked with a smile.
"All right, all right. I'll go ask her." Hobart had originally come to ask Doffis for help, but Christine's interruption made him completely forget his purpose.
Using "travel" again, he returned to the Lord's Manor, knocked on the door, and entered Fors's room.
Fors was still pondering what sort of attitude she should take toward the "Witch" Hobart had mentioned.
Hobart smiled. "The 'test question' has changed. You need to come with me to meet my father."
"What?" Fors sprang straight out of the recliner.
