A Brief Chat

Hello, and thank you all for reading this book. At the beginning of this story, I'd like to introduce myself and give a general overview of what I have in mind for it.

I've previously written two fairly successful works—well, I can only say they didn't flop—and I'm about to reach Level 4 as an author. I'm telling you this so you'll know that I have experience finishing stories and that I'm an author who takes writing seriously, so you can dive in with confidence. Although my skills are limited, I'm willing to give this book my all. Please bear with me if there are any shortcomings.

I really liked Lord of Mysteries, and I had just finished my third read-through before the New Year when the idea of writing a Lord of Mysteries fanfiction came to me.

But which pathway should I choose? The Seer pathway was definitely out of the question, since it would conflict with Klein.

The Goddess of the Night had always been a positive figure—even though she had planned and taken part in many schemes—and she was also the True God of the Sleepless pathway. Unless a divine war broke out and the Goddess fell, it would be difficult to rise through that pathway.

Pathways such as Sailor, Spectator, Reader, Bard, and Secret Supplicant faced the same awkward situation as the Sleepless pathway. This was a problem Emperor Rosell had once encountered.

So I could only choose a pathway without a True God if there was to be room for growth.

The Assassin pathway was definitely not an option, because it would turn the protagonist female later on. That would be as awkward as it got.

As for the Hunter pathway... well, it would be easy to die at the Provoker stage.

I also needed to avoid pathways like Mother and The Moon, which had been corrupted by Outer Deities.

After going around in circles, only the Lawyer and Arbiter pathways seemed suitable. But since Xue was already an Arbiter, the protagonist had no choice but to choose Lawyer. That way, after the protagonist became an Ancient One, Miss Hugh could still advance to Sequence 1.

But then a new problem arose: how could he advance to Black Emperor without harming Emperor Rosell? Fortunately, at the end of the first part of Lord of Mysteries, Klein became a Half Ancient One and obtained the Error authority from Amon. That left plenty of room to work with. As for the exact method, I'll keep it secret for now o(￣▽￣)d

Some longtime readers of my previous two books should be here to show their support. Those readers will surely know that while my skills may be limited, my fanworks never feel awkward. That's because I respect the original work enough and am willing to patiently build upon it through new creation.

As for updates, there will be two chapters a day before release, since I need to wait for recommendations—that's the usual practice. After release, there will be three chapters a day, with occasional bonus chapters. Once Moon Tickets, recommendation votes, or rewards reach a certain amount, there will be bonus chapters. I'll also add chapters to thank readers who have contributed to this book.

Over the past two years, I haven't stopped updating even when I had COVID, so updates are guaranteed. I could write more chapters every day, but that would easily lead to filler, a common problem with many fanworks. I may not be a famous Writer, but I'm a reader myself, so I really don't want to do that. I'll do my best to maintain quality in the middle and later parts as well.
