Today was Audrey's second day working at Earl's Light. Her attire remained simple, while her beauty was as captivating as ever.

When she heard that Herwin Rambis had met with an accident that morning, she knew it had to be Hobart's handiwork. A gas explosion could not possibly kill a demigod of the Spectator pathway.

After thinking about it for most of the day, she came to find Hobart and told him very seriously, "Herwin may have been detestable, but he did not need to pay with his life.

"And those servants, they were innocent people. They should not have lost their lives because of this either."

Hobart spread his hands and smiled. "Audrey, when Herwin hypnotized you, I had to respond. Otherwise, next time they might do far worse than simply hypnotize you.

"Besides, when the explosion I created occurred, those people were already dead. They died from mental collapse."

He was actually lying. At the time, he truly had not cared whether those ordinary people lived or died. Knowing full well that the Disaster Porcelain Doll's attack covered an area, he had not distorted the servants' thoughts to make them leave.

The reason was simple. If anything about the villa's servants changed, a perceptive Spectator would definitely notice. Then, this battle might have developed differently.

So, to avoid alerting the enemy, he had simply chosen to ignore their lives.

Only after Audrey confronted him in person did Hobart realize that he had handled this poorly. But admitting his mistake now would not bring those people back to life, and there was little point in blaming everything on the divinity within him.

Besides, he was not the only one responsible. Herwin Rambis had not cared about those people's lives either.

After realizing that his actions had been improper, Hobart
