Today marked the 100th anniversary of the Empire's founding. This vast empire would hold a grand military parade in the square to celebrate this special day.
Before eight in the morning, around eighty thousand citizens had already gathered here in an orderly fashion. Guests from the nations of the Northern Continent and representatives from the various colonial planets arrived at the reviewing stand one after another.
At exactly eight o'clock, Atlantis's Emperor Hobart, the two Empresses, the princes, and the Princess, all dressed in formal attire, ascended the reviewing stand surrounded by senior officials.
The citizens immediately erupted, loudly cheering, "Long live the Emperor!" to pay tribute to their Emperor.
Hobart warmly responded to their cheers and shouted, "Long live the motherland! Long live the people!"
The crowd grew even more excited.
What had originally been planned as a brief collective greeting lasted a full ten minutes before the celebration could continue.
Amid stirring music, the voice of the commentator rang out from large loudspeakers with superb sound quality.
Commentator Albert, also a renowned Atlantis host, said solemnly, "Today is your birthday, my motherland. This is an extraordinary day."
The other commentator, Lanxi, likewise a well-known host, said, "A hundred years of hardship and progress have forged Atlantis's unique cultural and economic system. The national flag in the square bears witness to a century of glorious history."
Albert said, "At this solemn moment, please play the national anthem and raise the national flag!"
A band began to play as an honor guard escorted the national flag forward and raised it.
