White Current howled as it plunged from the sky.
Old Toad grabbed the corner of a bag and emptied two Yellow Leather Bags, kicking the Da Bao Fish that had overflowed from the vine cages and scattered everywhere back inside. He balled up the empty bags and sorted them floor by floor.
Da Pang and Er Pang squatted in the canyon, cutting up a Big Fish as they looked up.
"The Elder has seemed really busy lately."
"Yeah, yeah. He used to go out once every three or five days, but now he goes out every other day. Are there really that many treasures outside?"
"Ever since White Ape came, the Huai River has felt different."
"Huh? Why is the water grass in the canyon growing so lush..."
Da Pang pawed around, tearing the algae covering the Big Fish clean away, when he suddenly saw two Dragon Sturgeon flying in from the horizon. Three Dragonfolk jumped down from above. One of them was the Dragon Man Tribe's Third Elder, Long Zongyin. He respectfully bowed and said something to the Elder. The Elder sprang a hundred zhang into the air, pumping his frog legs without pause as he followed the Dragonfolk out of the cave.
Something jabbed his belly with an elbow.
Da Pang rubbed his stomach and turned around, only to find Er Pang waggling his brows at him. Following Er Pang's gaze, he looked over.
The Elder's cave door stood half-open.
The two frogs exchanged a look, their mouths splitting all the way to the backs of their heads at once. They could not care less about dividing up the delicious Big Fish. One stood watch outside while the other quietly approached the Elder's cave.
The Elder was small, and so was the cave
