Heaven and Earth Long Qi had to be gathered. Aside from the Ze Cauldron, most methods of collecting Qi were rather crude and inefficient, often leaving behind much "lint" in the outside world. Some of that "lint" existed in such quantities that if the Ze Cauldron gathered it, it could even condense into another strand of Long Qi.

That gave him another good place to go.

When Heaven and Earth Long Qi was born, it was formless and intangible. It would not always happen to amount to exactly one strand; there would always be excess "lint."

Even in corners Liang Qu could not see, the Ze Cauldron stored it on its own. It would be useless unless it encountered the same Long Qi again, so turning it into Seeds of Creation was a way to make full use of everything.
