"Ghost Emperor tampered with the mental suppressant medication you took."

Demon Empress was not surprised in the slightest by Di Tian's warning.

"I know. Ghost Emperor is ambitious and unwilling to serve beneath anyone else. How could he possibly assist me wholeheartedly?"

"But I do not care. Those artificial drugs cannot control my will. If he were not still useful, I would have killed him long ago!"

"Mm."

Di Tian sighed. "I spoke unnecessarily. You are no longer the little woman from tens of thousands of years ago who would hide behind the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King whenever you saw me."

They traveled in silence. After releasing the Titan Snow Demon King's sealed five senses and restoring his ability to move, the three of them walked out of the Blood Pool together.

Draped in a black robe that concealed her head, Demon Empress descended before Ghost Emperor and Nether Emperor.

"I need to leave for a while. Guard this place well. Before I return, there must be no major movements."

Ghost Emperor and Nether Emperor were utterly confused. Their stay-at-home Empress had spent all year indoors, never stepping beyond her door.

Why was she running off with someone just because a man had come to invite her today?

They wanted, twelve times out of ten, to question her in detail. But after looking at Demon Empress's cold eyes, then at Di Tian's dragon pupils fixed upon them, they obediently answered:

It was a pendant shaped much like a leaf, the size of a baby's palm. It was pitch-black throughout, with ridges and woven patterns across its surface, faintly radiating a violet gleam.

A black cord was attached to the pendant. It was not very thick, but exceptionally tough.

"Is this a dragon scale?" Tai Tan accepted it with both hands and looked at Di Tian in confusion.

"Yes."

"This is my Black Dragon Reverse Scale. Ten thousand years ago, Huo Yuhao carried it, so you may find it somewhat familiar."

"With this, even if some blind fool barges into the Far North Core Circle, it will be enough to keep you safe."

Tai Tan gripped the Black Dragon Reverse Scale tightly and said respectfully, "Thank you, Beast God!"

Outside the Far North Land, Di Tian and Demon Empress moved swiftly together, streaking toward the southern end of the continent.
