  • Giant Gengar fixed its gaze on Jing He and the others, and Jing He urged Gengar to speak with it.
  • Gengar floated up and called to Giant Gengar, while Jing He and the others watched their apparent conversation.

Ch. 218Jinghe vs. the Giant Ancient Pokémon, Gengar!

Jing He and his Pokémon battled a Super Ancient Giant Gengar, then used Gengar’s Hypnosis and Jing He’s Aura to put it to sleep and make it disappear. The encounter left Gengar with a huge piece of Reaper Cloth, while Wu Neng arrived in disbelief.

  • Professor Oak spotted dark clouds over a distant mountain before a furious, drenched Bulbasaur knocked him away with Vine Whip.

Jing He helped Gym Leader Wu Neng deal with the Ancient Pokémon artifacts and listened to his troubles about family and training. Wu Neng thanked him by offering a battle for the Gray Badge, leaving Jing He wondering why Erika kept promoting him.

  • Wu Neng introduced himself as Pewter Gym’s Gym Leader and explained that he had come to train and escape the costs of running the Gym.
  • Jing He explained the Ancient Pokémon incident, and Wu Neng was startled when a Gengar rose from the lake behind him.

Ch. 221Narrowing Down the Raid on the Rockfall Team

After receiving the Gray Badge and Rock Slide TM, Jing He visited the Pokémon Center with Wu Neng and discovered Nurse Joy’s Chansey was a formidable battler. He demonstrated Chansey’s potential against Wu Neng’s Rhyhorn, leaving the battle—and the experiment with Assist Power—ongoing.

  • Jing He received the Gray Badge and a Rock Slide TM from Wu Neng after their battle.
  • At the Pokémon Center, Chansey knocked Wu Neng unconscious with a spiked club before Nurse Joy explained that she and Chansey used it for self-defense.
