"Hello, Kaxiu, Safiya. I'm Anvis."
"I think Safiya is right."
With a smile, Anvis took over the conversation. He placed his right hand over his chest and gave the two a slight nod.
Then, he gestured toward the distant forest.
"Have you noticed that this area seems to be surrounded by some kind of special force field? If my senses are correct, it should be a 'wall' temporarily preventing us from leaving."
"A force field?"
Kaxiu was immediately skeptical upon hearing this.
He had been the first to arrive, though only less than half a minute before Anvis. Yet he had not detected any force field nearby.
Safiya fiddled with the Magic Cube in her hand, though it was unclear exactly what she did. A moment later, fine Runes like streams of data lit up and flickered across the cube's surface.
"...Anvis is correct. Centered on the Oak Tree, radius five kilometers, strength unknown."
Looking at the result displayed on the cube, Safiya calmly drew her conclusion.
"Five kilometers away?! No way, it really exists?"
Caught off guard by the girl's confirmation, Kaxiu froze for a moment, his black hooded robe rippling like smoke.
Perception was one of his weak points. He could only reach a level close to that of an average Fourth Rank, sensing an area with a radius of roughly one and a half kilometers at most.
As for things five kilometers away, he would need to use Secret Art, but there was no need for that.
"Yes. The most likely possibility is an isolating force field, with a probability of 83.42 percent. The second is concealed spatial severance, with a possibility of 9.6 percent. The probability of the remaining possibilities can be ignored."
In response to Kaxiu's doubts, the blue-haired, violet-eyed girl emotionlessly tapped an inscription
