Somewhat surprised, Anvis glanced at the device in Olbins's hand, then nodded, confirming his conclusion.
"You're right. That's one of the characteristics of the Glory Secret Realm. Nearly all of the Empire's Ninth-Rank Lords have specifically studied this place. The opening of the secret realm is caused by a rare Space-Time Change.
"One of the most famous Analysis Papers, 'Seven Fluctuation Forms of Space-Time Superstrings,' was written by your teacher, the Ring of Space-Time Lord."
While Anvis explained in a low voice, the others impatiently entered with their attendants.
The Radiant Ruins had a limited opening period, so there was no point hesitating at the entrance. Anvis had only used his introduction to the three people behind him as cover while waiting for a certain prince to enter first.
"...All right, let's go in too."
After Prince Lanno entered with his attendants, Anvis waited until several more people had passed through the ruins' entrance. Only then did he move, stepping through the "door" with his attendants under the protection of multiple Ninth-Rank Lords.
Beyond the entrance lay a strange Shining Tunnel. In everyone's perception, space and time seemed to stretch infinitely, and their bodies grew thinner and thinner until they nearly became threads with almost zero thickness.
In that bizarre state, their consciousness gradually sank into chaos, leaving their bodies to drift with the current.
It felt as though ages had passed, yet also as though only an instant had gone by. A fierce flash of white light passed before them, and the laws of space and time returned to normal.
As his five senses gradually recovered, Anvis's eyes refocused.
He surveyed his surroundings. Above was a gleaming grayish-white expanse of sky, while below lay ordinary soil and primeval forest.
