But in the next instant, pure white Mind Light shone from Anvis's Sea of Spirit. Like a solid reef standing amid the waves, it withstood the ensuing Soul Impact.
At the same time, a thin Pale Crystal Shield enveloped his body, shutting out both the strange Purple Moonlight and the mutated shadows.
"What kind of power is this?"
Sensing the abnormality within himself, Anvis removed his glove and touched the shallow wound that had appeared on the back of his right hand.
No pain came from the wound. Instead, there was a strange numb itch, as though something beneath it were restlessly twisting, trying to force it open.
However, Anvis knew very well that this was only an illusion. What had truly caused the phenomenon was the Alien Power lingering in the wound.
An extremely potent curse permeated this Dream Forest. Whether trees or moonlight, everything was a vessel for the curse.
Anvis could still resist the curse at its current intensity, but as time passed, its power continued to grow.
His gaze flickered. Anvis suddenly halted his raised foot, then fiercely swung his Staff, tearing a large patch of shadow bearing Bloodshot Eyes from the ground.
As he did so, he wrapped up the shadow he had torn away and stepped without hesitation into the edge of the dream, leaving the eerie forest.
Behind him, the entire forest seemed to freeze for a moment because of his actions.
The next instant, every tree shadow bearing Bloodshot Eyes twisted madly. A massive, tangible Cursed Force Field repeatedly swept through the place where Anvis had stood, frenziedly scouring the area he had left behind.
But none of that had anything to do with Anvis anymore.
Stepping into the edge of the dream felt like walking into sunlight with his eyes closed.
