Sensing Anvis's arrival, the duke, who had been standing before the study's enormous floor-to-ceiling window with his hands behind his back, turned around and gave him a faint nod.
At the same time, two Spellcasters in blue robes stood behind the duke, one to either side, seemingly waiting to depart.
"Father."
Facing Duke Carlot's imposing gaze, Anvis calmly bowed. At the same time, his eyes swept curiously over the two Blue Robe Mages.
He had already removed his Academy cloak and changed into a finely tailored, fitted pale-blue formal attire. A pure white, gem-studded cravat with rippling folds rested at his throat, bearing the faintly glowing crest of the Olyvendi Family.
"Put this on. We're leaving."
Without explaining the identities of the two Blue Robe Mages, the duke took out an Amulet engraved with unusual Runes once Anvis arrived and gestured for him to put it on.
Anvis fastened it to his chest. He could sense a unique fluctuation emanating from the Amulet, echoing something on the duke's person from afar.
The next moment, the duke waved a hand, and intense spatial fluctuations instantly enveloped the entire study.
Anvis's vision blurred. The world around him twisted like a bubble, transforming into rippling multicolored light. The light from outside gradually dimmed, while sounds warped and stretched into an immensely heavy, low-frequency hum.
But in the next instant, everything began to reassemble.
Once the teleportation state had fully passed, Anvis looked around. They were now in a valley, surrounded by ancient ferns, with birdsong and insect chirps ringing endlessly in his ears.
Worth noting, however, was that the sky here was not blue, but a peculiar apple green. This clearly indicated that they were not on the Prime Material Plane.
